The Fayetteville School District's strategic plan was first adopted by the Fayetteville Board of Education in 1993,following months of work by more than 300 community and staff members. The district's mission statement and original strategic goals were developed in the original plan.
The plan was revised in 1996, 1999, 2003, and 2006. In each revision, changes were made to reflect changes in district priorities, such as technology. It's important to understand that the strategic plan is far from finished. In fact, the real work is just beginning. Every teacher and staff member will have an opportunity to work within their building to affect strategies for the implementation of the board's vision and goals. Your building principal will be leading us in this phase of the strategic plan.
