In the far future,
mankind is at war. Among the cinders of the temporary peace is a planet
of mercenaries and an ambitious Lyran General. The General invades the
mercenaries, but they fight off the invasion. Instead, a court martial
forces the Mercenaries off planet. They don't like this. Taking two months,
they attack the rouge General, who now has control of the planet. The leader
of the mercenaries joins the General's staff. This begins a series of spies,
counter-spies, and intrigue.
The plot isn't revealed
too soon. It keeps me hooked because of that fact. If you like warfare,
large battle machines shooting the stuffing out of each other, or intrigue
then Operation Excalibur by William H. Keith, Jr. is the book for
you. |
