2008 Marching Show

“I’m in a New York State of Mind”

Next fall, the Marching Bulldog Band takes you on a trip to New York City. From Broadway to Yankee Stadium, the band will create the sights and sounds associated with the “Big Apple.” With music, drill, and visual enhancement from the Color Guard, the band will show you what it is like to be in the middle of the traffic, the noise, and the PRESSURE of life in New York City. Special music arrangers and drill writers are currently working on what will end up as our most interesting show ever. For obvious reasons, next fall, we will all be in a “New York State of Mind.”

Information

Once again, we are not printing and passing out individual handbooks. The 2008-2009 FHS Band Handbook is available online. Look at the list of FORMS on this page to find the Handbook, the Medical Form, and the Handbook Signature Form. These two forms should be completed by every student and turned in during our first rehearsal.

Color Guard will meet Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15th and 16th from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in the FHS Band Room. We will break for lunch at 12:00 noon. Color Guard camp will be held July 28th-31st at FHS.

Congratulations to those selected as drill captains for the 2008 marching season. The list of those selected can be found here.

Marching Rehearsals begin on August 1st for sophomores/new members and August 4th for the full band. PLEASE do not schedule vacations, work, etc. on or after that date if you plan on being part of the High School Band.
