Help Wanted in School Cafeterias

Fayetteville Schools Food Service maintains a list of substitutes to be called in when our regular employees are out. Substitutes are a vital part of our program. Using subs gives us the help that we need when employees are unable to work and lets you explore job opportunities with the Fayetteville Schools Food Service department.

Cafeteria Substitutes:

 

• Hours range from 4 to 6 hours per day
• Called to fill in for absent employees
• Work as needed, no guaranteed days/hours
• Salary is $8.00 per hour, paid monthly
  

Regular cafeteria positions open up from time to time:

 

• 4 to 6 hours per day
• 180 days per year
• Starting pay is $9.72 per hour with no school food service experience; paid monthly
• Most regular cafeteria employees are hired from the substitute list

 

How to apply:

 

• Applications are available in the Human Resources Department at the School Administration Building, 1000 W Stone Street (across the street from Fayetteville High, directly behind the Ray Adams Leadership Center)

• If you would like to get on the food service sub list, you must let the Human Resources Department know that you are interested in subbing for the Food Service Department when you pick up an application.
