How do I become a substitute teacher for Fayetteville Public Schools?

 

 

Fayetteville Public Schools is looking for individuals that are committed and focused on educating our children through substituting within our district.

We are happy to offer this information designed especially to help you in your substitute experience.

New Substitutes

Accepting Applications for the 2011-2012 School Year

• Fill out the substitute application.
• To fill out an application, click here to access the Application Process page, including the printable substitute teacher application or come to the administration building to pick up an application.
• The applications will be processed by HR and the applicant will be contacted for an interview.
• All references will be checked.

Returning Substitutes

Pay Rates

Daily:

• High School Diploma
  - $60/day
• College Degree/Non-Certified Teacher
  - $70/day
• Certified Teacher
  - $80/day
• Classified Staff (secretary, aides)
  - $8.00/hour
• Half-day Substitute Teacher
  - Half of the daily rate

Long-Term Certified Positions Only:

• 31 or more consecutive days in the same position (retroactive to the first day) and the substitute is an Arkansas certified teacher and is full certified to teach in that field.
  - $130/day
• 15 or more consecutive days in the same position (retroactive to the first day) and the substitute is an Arkansas certified teacher.
  - $105/day
