  • The narrower your topic, the more successful you will be if you use a keyword search rather than a subject search.  For more tips on using Keyword searching, see Keyword Searching page.
Capitalization and punctuation are not necessary.  For example, O'Connor may be entered as oconnor .
You may limit a search by criteria such as date of publication, a particular school or a type of material.  Click on the limit search button at the top or bottom of the browsing screen.  Once you have selected as many criteria as you want, click on the gray limit/sort button at the bottom of the screen.
The expanded view button at the top of the browsing list displays the list with school and call number included for each book.
Any words displayed in blue are links.  Clicking on a link will take you to that term.  For instance, the subject headings on each record are links.  By clicking on one of those subject headings, you can jump to a list of books on that subject.
You can click and drag the split screens in an item record in order to read more of any of the three screens.
  • The jump button at the bottom of the browsing list is set to jump to the last item in the list.  Be sure to reset it to jump to the number of the next item following the current browsing list.
