The New Parent Network is an effort to reach out to parents whose children are not yet in school. Parents in our network are invited to parenting workshops and social events with other parents and their children and recieve timely information about school-related events like kindergarten registration and open houses.
New Parent Network Recommended Events
Parenting is Prevention by Milton Creagh was presented on Tuesday October 7, 2008. Milton Creagh (click here for a bio from answers.com) is considered an inspiring speaker known for straight talk about difficult subjects. He has hosted the PBS series Parenting Works and addresses hundreds of thousands of kids and parents annually.

Ask the Experts! An Information Session for Parents of Young Children (from birth to age 5)
Faculty members from the University of Arkansas' Early Care & Education Projects presented:
• "Making Connections" by Marietta Baltz, a specialist in development for very young children (infants to age 2)
• "Early Literacy" by Deniece Honeycutt, a specialist in pre-school age children (ages 2 to 5).
