Minutes of the February 5, 2009 Special Meeting
The meeting convened at 10:30AM in the
Gary Ray and Bill Newman from Ray and Associates presented packets of information on the nine top superintendent candidates for review by the Board.
Tim Kring made a motion to adjourn to executive session for the purpose of selecting which superintendent candidates to interview. Jim Halsell seconded the motion, which passed by a 7-0 vote. The Board adjourned to closed session at 11:00AM.
The Board returned to open session at 1:45PM. Steve Percival made a motion to continue the interview process with superintendent candidates Brian Binggeli, Nicholas Gledich, Vicki Thomas, Diane Cox, Elizabeth Duran Swinford, and Brad Schoeppey. Becky Purcell seconded the motion, which passed by a 7-0 vote.
The Board agreed that the first interview would be for individual candidates only and the second interview would include spouses. Mr. Newman presented suggested questions for use during the interviews. Board president Susan Heil reported that she will review the questions provided by Ray and Associate, the questions used during previous interviews and ones suggested by staff and compile a draft set of questions to be used.
